For years I've seen the odd hint online of a miniature toy car or buggy that looks like one of the futuristic cars in Gerry Anderson's UFO.
I have a feeling the toy car being hinted at is the large windscreened blue car in this Japanese lot.
Here it is close up as pictured on Yahoo Japan.
It's a Japanese GLICO miniature candy car.
Does it look like anything in UFO readers?
Here's another miniature plastic car in my Grandson's Kinder Egg fleet.
Does this Kinder sports car look like anything in the UFO TV series?
Are there any miniature toy cars from UFO?
Maybe Konami? Yujin?
Anyone know?
Think you're a victim of UFO Pareidolia there, mate! Its a tenuous similarity to be honest. I've got the futuristic car set from Kinder and they are similar, but I don't think theres any direct connection.
ReplyDeleteOK, what's pareidolia?
Delete'Pattern recognition' or seeing 'faces' in everyday objects. Recognising shapes that are unintentionally formed etc. Like the Cydonia 'face' on Mars!
ReplyDeleteI keep seeing your face in my rice crispies.
DeleteI miss the old Kinder Egg toys! The Kinder Joy replacement we have here are 50/50 - the chocolate is good, the toys junk. The grandbaby eats the treat, I open the toy up and more often than not throw it away.
ReplyDeleteThrow the toys in a box in your man cave Ed! Not the bin! McDonalds have stopped issueing toys with Happy Meals here in Blighty so small surprise toys may be next to go in the war on plastics!
