Hello Woodsy
Attached is 'Bluey' my daughter's favourite Troll which she gave to my wife who keeps it on her desk.
These horrible things were all the rage with girls in the mid 80's to early 90's They all looked alike but came with different hair colours and in different sizes.
I don't know which I disliked most, these or Smurfs!

That troll is very well read Terran! Anither craze here in the UK at the same time was hard plastic dummies in various sizes! My daughter had loads!
ReplyDeleteI meant to say a well read Troll, not a well read Terran! Doh!
DeleteThere was a comic about the Trolls in the UK at the same time (by Redan), for which I lettered a goodly number of strips. I've still got a wee 'pencil topper' Troll which I think may've been one of the free gifts. (The ol' memory's going.)
ReplyDeleteHey fab Kid! There can't be many Troll letterers around! Did you letter with the Troll on your pencil or pen at the same time? Is the comic featured on Crivens!?
DeleteNo, surprisingly. I must rectify that when I find where I've stashed the title.
DeleteIs the white plastic? oriental lady in the plastic case to the left trying to get her hair like the troll's do you think? ha ha!
ReplyDeleteNicely observed. STRESSA might be copying the Troll!
Deleteha ha, STRESSA! I love that. Thanks for the pic. I'll add it here asap. Never seen those Office deities figures before. I remember having a circular tea mat on my desk called a Round Tuit. Sometimes I didn't get ... round tuit!
