Feeling like an astronaut on Mars, tonight I witnessed an amazing sunset on our local hill field.
Like a martian sky it burned fiery red, searing the clouds with scarlet, bubbling them with yellows, eventually darkening to a bruised deep purple black.
It was mesmerising for me and mutt and I really hope that my snaps do this spectacle a little justice.
Its got me in the mood for episode 3 of The First tomorrow night, the TV drama series exploring a future mission to Mars.
I wish I was a spaceman! You too?
That is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kev. It was a good 'un.
DeleteWhat's the black smudge on pictures 8 and 9?- Mark J Southcoast Base
ReplyDeleteYorkshire air Ambulance. A chopper at any rate.
DeleteBeautiful skyscapes, Woodsy. My fave is number four with the silhouetted lone tree in the distance, at the far side of frame. Make a good background for narrative text from a suitable song or poem perhaps :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Tone. I like that lone tree too. Last winter it often sheltered a Buzzard but not yesterday. I did however film a kestrel nearby and spoke a few words over the film. To be posted soon late one night after the toys of the day.
DeleteI always loved the "space colony simulation" games, as it is only possible (for now) way for me to have that feel of being a spaceman
ReplyDeleteYou are a games guru Ran. Your space gaming reminds me of the film The Last Starfighter. Have you seen it?
DeleteYes, on public TV years ago.
