There are also pictures of the version from the '60s.
In the one you show, the small bullets are missing - they should be in the space where the handcuff keys are, and the keys should be in the middle partition where the duplicate badge is. Still a nice little set though.
Thanks for the insights Kid. This sin't my set but I bought one decades ago in a lovely box at the Littlewoods shop Index. Alas I sold mine. I don't recall the long gold bullets which are in the inside lid in Robs case. Do you have those too?
Yep, the long bullets are for the big gun, the small bullets are for the gun in the cigarette packet. My case (and the box) with both sets of bullets can be seen at the link I provided in my first comment.
Looked at your site and link Kid. A beautiful set and I love the old issue box you had or have. Mine was the later issue black card box with basic crosshair graphics. I got mine in the early 90's in Index. It certainly had some staying power that Redbox design. It was around for years! I was fascinated by Baab's mention of a Captain Canaveral knockoff of Captain Scarlet in your post's comments. I've never heard of that and may have to dig a bit to see what comes up!
That reference to Captain Canaveral on your site turns out to be a unique item on Google. That's the ONLY reference to it on the whole net! A genuine Googlewhack no less! Now I am intrigued!
Yes, I still have the set and box, which I got in Argos (or maybe Index) sometime in the early '90s. The black 'case' which holds the set came in the box you see on my site.
I'll also have to have a look for Captain Canaveral myself now.
Yup, and you can see it here:

Oops, make that 'picture' - singular - of the '60s version.
