I'm just entertaining the Moonbase Grandson. He's 18 months old and charging round the house holding onto his plastic walker. Its basically an A-frame with wheels. He loves it!
I don't think I had anythng like that as a kid. not sure they were invented. Or? What I most likely had for walker training was a barrow full of wooden bricks.
These classic toys were essentially a deepen wooden tray on wheels with a tall upturned U for a handle. This was usually metal and imagine quite a few teeth got loosened when an obstacle got in the way!
The bricks were multi-coloured wooden cubes and they were great for stacking and building forts with.
Did you have a barrow of bricks? Will you get your Grandkids one or go with the modern trend of plastic walkers like us?
Ha ha, just realised the posts title sounds like the famous American singer Junior Walkers playing at Moonbase - with his All Stars!!
