Hi guys,
Attached are pictures of a find I have been excited about.
As you might remember, this bagged version of the LP Space Dog was included in the lot I bought last year.
By a stroke of sheer coincidence, this boxed version came up in our neck of the woods a few weeks ago. Could not believe my eyes, because there seems to be absolutely nothing else online about either of them.
As you may notice, there are colour variations on the vest. The numbering of the boxed (108) and bagged (108 A) versions seems to confirm further my former "A" theory, according to which carded/bagged LP versions have the suffix A added to the item number.
Enjoy!
Cheers

PS.
Paul V made a fascinating observation about the ball beneath the dog.
See Paul's fabulous Triang SpaceX Toys website here and all will be revealed!
This is an interesting post, Arto & Woodsy. I had this toy as a little lad, but couldn't remember its name or maker? Baffled me for a long time. Ah, mystery now solved! Also, thank you for the link to Paul V's website and his superb observation :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to be able to help with solving your childhood mystery, Tony. I wonder why so few have survived, or come up for sale thus far.
ReplyDeleteThis amazing lost toy is a new one to me. Terrific find!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, I was chuffed to come across one let alone two versions! Apart from Sword, LP space toys are my absolute faves (also - if not in particular - canine ones!)
