Hello Woodsy.I took a drive to this store to buy tape so I could wrap presents tonight.Every item in this store costs 79 cents, less than a US dollar.
This place is a madhouse on the inside.Just picture tight rows teeming with random merchandise from floor to ceiling with people packed elbow to elbow.
My mission of procuring tape was accomplished, but I also got some gravy mix in anticipation of holiday roast and mash. And finally...some TOYS! I think 79 cents is equivalent to about 58 pence. Sound like a bargain?

Brian, where is this wonderful store? Here in NYC the 99¢ stores all became From 99¢ Stores anything less vanished years ago.
ReplyDeleteIt's in Egg Harbor Township.Exit 38 on the Garden State Parkway takes you straight to the shopping center.
DeleteThank you. Finally a fun reason to go near Atlantic City.
DeleteCorrection Terranova.Make that Exit 37, not 38.Look for Dollar Tree,TJ Maxx,Big Lots, or Forman Mills in the same shopping center.
DeleteThe toys are an eagle eye find amongst the mountains of merchandise. Well spotted, Brian :)
ReplyDeleteAt those prices,I can get about everything I need, then buy something fun without guilt. You have to be careful. Some stuff is absolute garbage, not worth buying. Also, the inventory is constantly changing. If you like something, grab a handful and stock up,because tomorrow it might be gone!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the days when your local five and dime store would be overflowing with bizarre and wonderful space toys from Japan and China and Korea. Those days are long gone, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI had a local 5 and 10 named Furlow's in my childhood hometown.I once bought a Bullmark Ultraman Earthtron figure there, the kind that shot sparks out of its mouth when you cranked its arm.I later took it into the bathtub and killed the sparking action, and eventually gave it away .When I see them on Ebay, and what they're selling for, I want to kick myself.
DeleteA great store Brian! And dirt cheap! I would have loved those Ninjas when I was 12 and Kung Fu mad! They have a Marx look to them.
