Hi, this is Mark J from hailing from sunny Southsea.

Woodsy urged me to put together a blog about the barber shop I work at, so...

Head was opened around 12 years ago by Rick Christie with a mission to bring quality barbering to Southsea and from humble beginnings has established itself as part of the hub of our 'Strong Island'.

The decor is (apart from the strong red and blue‎) a little more bullshit and accident!! with many items gifted, purchased from purveyors of quality tat or as Rick would say 'It's all the shit that Mark's wife won't let him have at home!'

 the Jakks pacific 30" Batman ....

an Ed Roth gearshift and my beach cruiser at the back of the shop that's covered in blue lights that looks like a Xmas tree at night! 

Many items on the shelves scream collecting in the 90's and early 2000's!!

I've also used any spare time I've had to use the back yard to spray paint any projects that I've had on the go, mostly cosplay items (Batman of course!)

Here's a tip, use chip guard spray paint to simulate leather! Once dry, polish with just the oil from your palms to get the effect! It's not for small items, but the effect is stunning!!‎

I'll do a blog on the batman costume when it's ready, (the methods can be transferred to do anything Gerry Anderson ‎ based)
