This caught my eye, where military vehicles go to die. In Lincolnshire just south of me at Moonbase.. Rusting hulks have a strange appeal. I don't know why.
Could it be connected to the . . . was it the Budge collection? My cousins when to school with his kids (they farm near Retford) and he had all sorts of stuff at one point, aircraft even, but I seem to recall it all went a bit pear-shaped!
We had a similar think at Blackbush, and there's a chap over toward Alton with a small group of nice 'planes rotting at the edge of Lasham Airfield (where 747's go to be painted!), but he turns down every offer to buy and restore them...
Just checked Hugh, Budge's Retford collection was in Nottinghamshire and sold in 1993. There's something totally appealing about rotting vehicles. Wonder what is out there from movies and TV falling apart under a bush!
