ReplyDeleteI wish I'd been there with you Arto. I never saw BR when it came out. It was years later for me on VHS! It was a great experience seeing for the first time even on video. Yep, Roy's peroxide dirge is unforgettable. I wonder if Ridley's other replicant David will pull at out heart-strings in Covenant?

ReplyDeleteI bought the Blade Runner Scrapbook about six months before theatrical release and was largely unimpressed. Then I saw the film and was blown away.I remember being annoyed that the Spinner used the display from the Nostromo detach sequence as it docked, with the word 'PURGE' flashing up on the control screen! After I got the american Blade Runner souvenir mag, I saw an advert for the for diecast Spinner cars on the back and wrote to Ertl in the states to buy them. A few years later Ertl became a major company in the UK too.
