Being under the weather does have its benefits. I get to watch lots of films in sick bay i.e. lead down on my sofa!
Only downside is the concession stand; no popcorn or coke, just tablets and inhalers!
So fa [excuse the pun! ] I have clocked the following flicks:
The Night Flier
Godzilla 2014
Hider in the House
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring
Earth V. The Spider
Quatermass and the Pit
Gorgo
A few Good Men
Rambo I, II and III
Clear and Present Danger
The Sand
Kiss of the Vampire
Tenebre
Hook
On order: the original Godzilla 1954
Can you recommend any sick bay cinema readers?
How about the animated films by Ralph Bakshi;American Pop, Wizards,Fire and Ice,Lord of the Rings etc.I also suggest The screenplays of books by S.E.Hinton like The Outsiders, Rumble Fish, and That was then, this is now.

ReplyDeleteBrill EW, thanks for tips. Not seen 9 and never heard of Ember! I'll check 'em out from the sofa cinema!
DeleteHow about Stephen Poliakoff's TV drama, 'Shooting the Past'. Well worth watching if you can track it down, Woodsy! From a different genre, 'Nosferatu the Vampyre' (1979) :)
ReplyDeleteI used to watch a Poliakoff season Tone. Thanks for that, I'll look it up. Is the 79 Nozzer the one with Klaus Kinski?
DeleteJust found "This ~Island ~Earth" has been put back on YouTube!
ReplyDeleteNow that's one I love. Cheers Andy!
DeleteGet well soon, Woodsy.
ReplyDeleteCheers Andy, I think I'm over the worst and on the road to recovery over the next couple of weeks Ta.
DeleteThe original BBC Quatermass serials, especially Quatermass and the Pit which is almost as good as the film...
ReplyDeleteGood one Liam, I do love Quatermass. Good idea! Have you seen Ringstone Round?
