Thanks Arto! Ni, its actually from 1970! I first saw one in a Bullycan catalogue I got hold of a couple of years ago, so I knew there was one floating around still somewhere!
And good to see for real - it's exactly like the catalogue picture and now I see the spacecraft are indeed the regular ones instead of the special Hawks (which can't be launched with that catapult either).
Yep, the craft are not bad really in there two tone plastic. there are no hooks on them so flying them from the rubber band requires the toys to be simply pressed backwards against it and zoom! Well, its a sort of zoo...crash. They just make it off the carrier! This is either the third or fourth type of Carrier with SpaceX clones I've seen by Bullycan, the others having special and simpler Hawks like you say.
Third or fourth? I'm aware of this big one (nr 162 reissued as 3162) and the smaller version (nr 321) which may have been a cost-saving replacement. I'd be interested to hear about the other one(s) then?
thats amazing Woodsy, two variations of the Cosmico carrier, now. It still stumps me how on earth you find these things!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting the large one too, Woodsy!
