I understand that there is a Stingray strip featuring the Submarine Aircraft Carrier in the 1966 Stingray Annual.

"The only way I could explain it was by grouping them in classes.
The typical illustration we know of I'd call a SWORD class, which is also illustrated in the drawing I sent you [below].
The London Class is what the Submarine Aircraft Carrier that is illustrated in the strip adventure, as it looks unlike the SWORD illustrations a dn was drawn by Ron Turner"
