Here's what she's [Haley Mills] referring to Woodsy.

Sadly the only thing one can make out is that it was battery operated...
Hope it helps anyway, perhaps it rings a bell amongst the readership.

Hi Woodsy,
The Horror Channel comes up with some good classic British stuff.
I've stumbled across a Youtube link (below) which features the Twisted Nerve toy shop opening scene.
From what we're shown of the box, it looks like Susan is asking about the the Alps Moon Explorer robot.
I can also see the Marx Trumpton Climbing Fireman and an unboxed Horikawa Mr. Zerox. Great toys, great film :)
All the best, Tony K

Woodsy says: thanks Paul and Tony for such a swift response! Between you you've nailed it!
Here's some footage of the Alps Moon Explorer Robot on You Tube too.
One last thing, what's Haley Mills got in her hand in the picture at the top?
Looks like a Fisher Price Prancy Pony pull toy, however with blue wheels (usually they are yellow).
ReplyDeletePs. Excellent joint research effort guys, congrats!
Yes! I can see the Pony's head! Cheers Arto. Well spotted!
DeleteThanks Woodsy and Arto. I'm sure Paul will agree, it was fun to do :)
ReplyDeletewhats about that big display of Corgi toys, vintage Lego and the Airfix HMS Victory kits? Not to mention all the tin windups on the desk! I wish there were still toyshops like that now!
