Hi Woodsy,
Just wanted to give you the heads up on a brilliant film I stumbled across while wandering through various blogs last night.
This particular blog is called THE COBWEBBED ROOM and features a 1979 Play for Today called Vampires. I thought it was a fantastic little gem of bygone times. Hopefully you'll also enjoy it :) All the best, Tony K
Woodsy Responds:
I watched it this morning Tony. What a fabulous 49 minutes of British Seventies TV drama. They really don't make them like that any more. The lack of music is so effective in letting the story unfold on its own, typical of many of the decade's TV plays.
The child actors were totally plausible and the setting so everyday its spooky! It looked and sounded like Liverpool. I loved the story - a sort of social commentary - and the ending took me completely by surprise!
Excellent recommendation Tony and I wholeheartedly pass it on to MC readers. Vampires appears here, in full, courtesy of Markxist on You Tube [PS. the Cobwebbed Room is MY kind of blog! Just ace. Thanks for sharing].
Tell us what you think readers if you watch Vampires.
