Much toy space gun header art depicted lunar landscapes with crags at either side of the picture.
The Space Invader water Gun above is a good example. My own feeling is that these headers were influenced by the art of space artists and in particular Chesney Bonestell. You can see one if his startling images below, which includes a classic Moon rocket.
What do you think readers. Where do these lunarscapes with flanking mountains come from?
