What's new in your collection readers? A new toy? A new comic? A new DVD?
My collecting has slowed to a snail's pace but I did receive this lovely lenticular postcard depicting the front of the Project SWORD Cape Kennedy Set [thanks Arto!]. Its the picture to the left. The right picture is the SWORD Cape set box art. Gorgeous model on the postcard!!

Tony K's new Sky Ray Moon Fleet Badge!
thats pretty damn fine Woodsy! My space collecting has met with a bit of an impasse at the mo, apart from Thunderbirds. Im concentrating on the less competetive avenues of plastic tat and small trains!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing wrong with tat Bill. Its even the name of a plastic toy manufacturer from Hong Kong! ha ha
DeleteI was over the moon to recently buy a 1960s Walls Ice Cream Sky Ray, 'Moon Fleet' tin badge. It's such a simple thing, but a true treasure to now own :)
ReplyDeleteI love that Sky Ray badge Tony. It reminds me as well of that cool waistcoat you could get from them as well. I saw a stack of small vintage badges in Wakefield recently, Joe 90 and Captain Scarlet. £4 each. Is that a good price?
DeleteThanks Woodsy. Yes, I think that's a good price. I'd be happy to pay that for a vintage badge which I liked. I love the charm these old vintage tin badges. Such a nice reminder of wonderful times. They always seemed so popular with kids growing up in the 60s and 70s. I guess we all had them :)
ReplyDeleteLatest find is a coffee pot. Marked underneath with some flying poultry clutching an objectionable symbol and the year 1942.
ReplyDeleteBut before that I got another Security Copter, this time with the later rotor that has shortened secondary blades. Card wasn't in the best of nick, so out it came to have another variation for the loose line-up.
Best -- Paul
Nice one Paul. A cup of WWII coffee please!
DeleteAnd another P3 Copter. How do you see the variations? A trained eye for SpaceX eh!
Not so much space as innerspace, the recent local find of note has been the first-issue Airfix Skeleton, unused. Would fit into your collection too Woodsy!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, THE skeleton in the cupboard! ha ha. I loved my Airfix scallywag Arto. I based a whole monster theatre around in, in which my family was the audience! If I recall, the model came with plastic stand didn't it Arto?
