Before the loaned Nuclear Ferry takes its farewell voyage across the Pennine Hills I thought I would take a closer look at its passengers whilst its still docked at Moonbase
The passengers are these 10 silver-gey astronauts sat and standing in the front cab ship. One of the ten is climbing the ladder, which is a lovely detail I think.
Knowing that Century 21 Toys were not averse to recycling pilots from other toys I wondered: have they had done the same here?
First up I compared it with a small white astronaut from the SpaceX Moon Base [shown on top of the clear canopy] and two different SpaceX-style LP Golden Astronauts
I hope like me you can see that none of these really fit the bill.
Neither does the white 'torso' driving this Imperial-style Moon Crawler
Nor indeed the silver 'torso' piloting the SpaceX Cricket
Nor does the pilot of the SpaceX Helicopter P3 [I just couldn't photograph it sorry!]
Forklift 7? Nope.
and finally, the LP Moon Explorer. Once more no.
So, as it stands, it would appear that Century 21 Toys made a new astronaut for their Nuclear Ferry toy passenger ship. Unless readers you can say different?
So nice to see close up pics of the astronauts. Especially the one climbing the ladder. I love the attention to detail which brings it to life.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tony. Yes, the two passengers standing up are great and so too are the two empty seats [sounds like the name for a story!]. I love the simple handrail down the middle. I thought there might have been an eleventh seated astronaut at the front piloting the ship but there isn't.
