It began airing in the UK on 21st May, 1966.
I loved the series from the beginning and it's fair to say I still love it now.
As you can see Batmania is still active in my Batcave!

DeleteAh... I'm so envious of you Scoop. The TV series Batmobile is the coolest car ever. Getting to sit in such an amazing replica must have been a dream come true for you... darn it... wish it had been me! Seriously though, thanks for posting another great piece Scoop!
ReplyDeleteIt was a cool experience Tony, even though it was only for a moment. Even though it was a replica it did look the part and when the bloke who owned it started the engine, it sounded great, even though it apparently only does 6 miles to the gallon!
Deletemy, my, my how flime ties when you're having fun! I caught the original 1966 movie on Amazon Prime a month or so ago and what a wonderful romp through the campy '60s. Great post Scoop!
