The third issue of Thunderbirds comic has hit the newstand, with a quite respectable little model of TB3 on the cover. Kevin D snapped up a copy and sent us these two shots of the big red one in space and following his example, I hightailed it down to the supermarket and picked up a copy too, which interestingly had been released a day early! TB4 is due in January, with 5 following in February 2016 and presumably Fab 1 in March. After that, its anyones guess what will grace the cover, but hopefully the pod vehicles.

Probably the figures? Once they've run out of consecutive numbers corresponding with ships, figures would seem to be the way to go...a popular one first, Lady P or the Hood, then possibly a move to subscription once they've gauged the likely market for the lesser figures?
ReplyDeletecould be Hugh, if thats the case, i may have to reconsider forking out my £4 every month..
ReplyDeleteApropos issue dates, I seem to pick mine up a few days before the new issue is released, I got my 1 in week-three and my 2 last Wednesday?!!!

The actual designer of these models was on the Fanderson forum a couple of months ago and mentioned that the agreed models for the magazine are TBs 1 to 5 and then TB-Shadow. No news on FAB1 yet - if DC Thompson decide to do one he may have trouble with wheels on such a model as they add to the manufacturing cost.

Lovely photos Bill and Kev!
ReplyDeleteYes, I second Woodsy! It's always a treat seeing photos of toys in realistic settings.
