Yep, I can see that one too! Nice idea. I think it was a Mike Trim design. Is that right? Beautiful plane. I never had the JR21 toy when I was a nipper and always wondered why Dinky never brought out a die-cast version like the UFO interceptor.
Sorry, my earlier typo should read 'Spectrum' . I'm not sure whose design it was Woodsy, but Dinky missed out with the Angel Interceptor. I'm sure they could've produced a very nice example. Their range of scale military aircraft was very good back in the 70s. I had hours of fun with the Dinky Spitfire and Stuka dog-fighting above the heads of my HO-OO Airfix soldiers.
I also had the Harrier, probably a year or so after the Spitfire and Stuka. I love the look of the Phantom but never had one. As an adult collector, I do sometime check Dinky Phantom's out on ebay... maybe one day I'll hit the buy-button. I think Dinky also went on the produce a Jaguar fighter as well.
Just a thought Woodsy, does the Sceptrum Angel Interceptor count ? It seems to fit the profile.
