The movie Batmobile with a small figure of Batman was the model given away with the first issue. The 3 D background shows the exploding Axis Chemical factory.
Subscribers got a free armoured version of the Batmobile being pointlessly shot at by two of Joker's goons.
The best subscriber's gift is the fantastic Batwing in a superb display box showing the city skyline by night.
"Ever Dance With The Devil In The Pale Moonlight!"
All interesting stuff.
ReplyDeleteHow many models are there likely to be, Scoop?
There's supposed to be 80 in the normal set with additional 'specials ' ones along the way, Andy.
DeleteGreat shots Scoop. Its turning out to be a mammoth collection! I love how the Batman movie models echoes what I bought in toy shops at the time in 89, the Toy Biz action figures of Bats himself with his pull-string belt, Joker and his Goons and the sleek Batmobile. I think I bought an ERTL Batwing as well. I agree, yours is pretty damn cool too! Never rub another man's rhubarb!
ReplyDeleteThanks Woodsy, consider your rhubarb unrubbed!
DeleteI love the first Tim Burton Batman movie and the vehicles, especially the Batwing, which as we know was designed by Derek Meddings.
