I saw this ancient American online small ad the other day and thought I'd reprint it here. Very interesting old advert with the toys' provenance. All three Probe Forces for $90 back then! Yay!
FS: 1960's PROJECT SWORD/PROBE FORCE Spaceships -Complete Set!

I have decided to part with my PROJECT SWORD Probe Force 1, 2, and 3
spaceship toys that I have had since I was a child in the 1960's. These
are three friction-powered plastic spaceships that are stamped
"Made in Hong Kong" on the bottom. They are light grey with various other
colored plastic detailed components. These were purchased at the Scott's
Five-and-dime store in Hickory Hills, Illinois in 1969. These vehicles
are based on a GERRY ANDERSON TV Series proposal called "PROJECT SWORD".
(Gerry Anderson is famous for other british sci-fi series such as Thunderbirds,
Stingray, Fireball XL5, UFO, and SPACE:1999). Thi particluar TV show
never made it to the TV screen, but it was a continuing series in the
CENTURY 21 Comic Books in the late 1960's/early 1970's. These three ships
are based on designs found in the Comic Books/Annuals and have the same
"Project Sword" logo on the wings, etc. where possible, as well
as "Probe Force" designation. The design of these ships are reminiscent
of Thunderbirds" and "Fireball XL5"
The "Probe Force 2" vehicle is mint. Probe Force 1 and 3 are near mint
but have repaired front nose wheel mountings. I have seen Probe Force 2
mint/boxed selling at Toy Shows for $200.00.
I am willing to part with all three vehicles for a total of $90.00
including UPS shipping within the continental U.S. Overseas airmail at cost.
I have only one complete set of all three spaceships.
