Blog reader Gerry D has kindly brought to my attention some very exciting news, which has appeared on BLIMEY! Lew Stringer's excellent comics blog.
Lew has announced that Project SWORD will be print AGAIN! Yes, Project SWORD will return as part of a one-off Limited edition TV21 special included in a Blue-Ray set by Network 'Filmed In Supermarionation'.
If I have understood it correctly, the strip, along with many more Anderson shows, will be NEW, written by a modern writer! Wow! Let's hope it comes off.
I have written to NETWORK asking who the new Project SWORD strip writer is. Awaiting reply.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I can gather I think the Sword story is an original one from the comic, along with an Agent 21 strip and another which slips my mind .The only original artists I'm aware of are Gerry Embleton who is doing a Stingray strip and John Burns doing a Lady Penelope. Martin Asbury who did Forward from the Backstreets in the second series is also on board. As a friend of mine points out if this is supposed to be issue 243 then the logo is wrong (or am I being a tad pedantic ; )
ReplyDeleteI've just read on Down the Tubes that someone called Paul MaCaffrey is illustrating Project Sword.
ReplyDeleteFantastic Scoop. I have emailed Paul McCaffrey to see what he says!
