The Treehawk by Bandai, released in 1983. Another vehicle from the Terrahawks TV series.
In the series Treehawk is piloted by Hiro or by remote
control and is used to travel between Earth base and the Spacehawk.
The toy has a number of features. The wings fold out to reveal
spring-loaded missile launchers.
The plastic nose section extends, apparently to allow crew
access, and fitted underneath are three
pull down landing legs.
As with the other vehicles in the set, there’s a free badge
and specification sheet. Like the Battlehawk and Terrahawk toys there are additional peel off decals.
Anderson Entertainment, the company behind the upcoming Gerry Anderson convention, Andercon are to make an announcement at the event regarding the Terrahawks brand, and have hinted at breathing new life into the series - intriguing stuff!

Breathing new life? Frankly it was dead on uts feet from the getgo!
ReplyDeleteMaybe so, Bill, but strangely enough its still a popular series with a lot of Anderson fans despite its shortcomings.
ReplyDeleteWell if they lose the fugly puppets, psychotic teddy bear and robo-beachballs, the ship designs were beautiful. Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteI do have a fondness for the hardware in this series. The Treehawk especially. The toy looks great!
