In 68/69, Project Sword always dominated my xmas wish list. The annual, TV21 and a regular supply of space toys appeared under the tree and those memories are amongst my most cherished from childhood.
These days the magic has gone, replaced with rampant consumerism and overpriced electronics. But just this week, a little of that special magic found me once more as I won a C21 Probe Force 2.
Its been many years since ive been even close to buying a Sword vehicle, mainly due to cost, but also because the few smaller vehicles I am missing are hard to come by.
But im now pleased to say I have an almost complete flight of 3 Probe Force ships!
Excellent news, Bill, the Probe Force ships are definitely classic SWORD.
ReplyDeleteThis Christmas, we do have some SWORD surprises on the Radio though. Not one, but three SWORD inspired stories, starting with Part 1 of All that Glitters on Squaring the Circle on Wednesday the 18th at 8PM, then on Sunday the 22nd a special Christmas SWORDcast featuring our own Wotan reading The Gift. And finally, at Midnight first thing on Christmas Day, a special hour show with a short SWORD inspired story called The Star.
ReplyDeleteIt just keeps getting better and better!
ReplyDeleteIt does indeed.
ReplyDeleteGreat news Bill. It's tough to be in a collecting slump especially when the thing you want to collect always seems to be out of reach.
ReplyDeleteNice acquisition Bill!
ReplyDeleteYou need to wrap it up and open it on Christmas morning! :-)
I had one of those when I was a child, back in the early 1960's. I figured out a way to put in a battery, a switch, and a grain-o-wheat bulb. The light went behind the blue main engine in the back. My father helped implement it.
