Like Scoop and our whole generation, I grew up with Aston Martin courtesy of the suave Mr. Bond. Shaken and not scared I loved all of his cars but the DB5 was the always the bees knees.
So when I got the chance a couple of years ago to combine my love of the this car and Gerry Anderson toys, in the form of a rare Century 21 Aston Martin DB5, I jumped at it before it sprayed a slick of oil and tacks on the road! This was one of C21 Toys more general toy vehicles range and reflects the past output of boss Jack Rosenthal, who with his earlier company JR toys, produced beautiful novelty vehicles, scooters and motorbikes, all gracing the classic diamond JR monogram.
The box depicts a red car but the actual toy is white with a sleek red racing stripe. Friction drive and numbered with a 4. It comes with a licence to chill!
So what does his beauty have in the way of trademarks, Mr Woods?
