Vintage Japanese Imai Gift Wrap Paper
issue to Japanese model shops in the late 1960's. The sheets depict cameos of many of Imai's well known vintage box art including the UFO Base series and specifically the Scramble Bug, Moon Prospector and Zero-X.
Woodsy Moonbase Collection.
This is a great find. What fascinates me most comes from the second photograph. The second and third rows contain artwork from the P-Land and Q-Land model series. Think of them as interconnecting base modules with hangars and tiny vehicles. Size wise the vehicles were on par with those from the Imai SHADO moonbase. The P-Land was an undersea base and the vehicles came from Stingray, the Submarine 707 comics, and the Blue Submarine 6 comics. The Q-Land was a moonbase the contents of which I know less about. One of my hobby magazines contains a few photos if anyone is interested. It's Issue 3 of character Age.
