Hong Kong Space Cruiser 3" long No TM |
Hard on the heels of my earlier post, I uncovered a few more mystery items in the box with the previous Kinder toys. One of the joys of buying loose lots of toys on ebay are the oddball items which appear along with the main event. After several such purchases, ive accumulated a fair few little toys or parts thereof which I have no idea where they are from. Among these cheap and cheerful little toys are Thunderbird derivatives and some elements which could be straight from Star Trek. Can anyone shed any light ? Also Ive posted a few Kinder space items including my all time favourite, the blue 'gemini' capsule. This should have four legs, but one has snapped. From the same sequence comes the white saucer and what must be a third item, the 'venera' like space probe. I actually picked up this hull in the street and recognised it as a Kinder toy. The saucer originally had silver legs and the Venera probe is clearly missing several items.

Indisputably female space Pilot! Britains Stargard (For Toad) |
I'm puzzling over the Hong Kong space vehicle - No TM 3" long - are those women in the seats? (she asks hopefully)
ReplyDeleteEver one to further the pursuit of knowledge, ive updated the post to show a clear shot of the cab. Its apparent that the poor souls aboard the vehicle are not even men either, having not been gifted with anything resembling a face! Also added a rather shapely lady pilot for you too Toad, perhaps shes considering abducting a hideous alien male and running away with him over her curvaceous shoulder ?
ReplyDeleteGreat Britains, the Starguard crew were so darn good looking I reckon the designers were watching UFO when they worked them up.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly got you worked up anyway, Woodsy! LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updated pic, Wote. It's amazing how different those two pilots look now I can see them from the front!
And also thanks for the Stargard piccy too. Nice to see a female pilot for a change.
Fascinating vehicles here. I like the rocket nacelle on the Space Cruiser; the control section of the Space Vehicle; the nacelles on the Space Cruiser in the Thunderbird photo and the control section between them which looks like the top of a Klingon ship (and the whole cruiser is generic sf now, thanks to Trek's ubiquitous influence--I'm sure I've seen that design in comics (albeit in one color); the (literal) Blue Gemini; the Venera; the Space Truck and Laser Mole (which, if not for the variant schemes on both toys and the propeller on the Mole look like Major Matt Mason style toys); the Ice Sleds which also look like Matt Mason goodies, especially the one on the right; the green front of the alien fighter that you snapped the pilot up close; and the female pilot on the Britains vehicle (like Toad, I want to see more women in space as well as minorities).
ReplyDeleteCoolness!
