By the Shores of Io
The World Council recieved word from NASA that traces of marine life had been detected on the Jovian moon, Io. Project SWORD was alerted and sent a SpaceX Nuclear Freighter to investigate. Capable of pelagic landing and sub-aquatic video, the Freighter touched down on the ice blue waters of Io. Incredibly, the crew managed to photograph what appeared to be immense ocean-going Pliosaurs, the first life-forms discovered since unearthing the dust bats in the caves of the Ocean of Storms on our own Moon.
The Project SWORD SPACEX crew were also able to briefly film one of the pliosaur [Iosaur]directly below their floating Freighter.
This was the last communication recieved from the crew. The Freighter was not heard from again. A rescue-salvage mission is underway. It is called Atlantis. Godspeed.

Nice pictures. Only an incredibly sad person would point out that Europa is the moon with suspected oceans and an unbelievably incredibly sad person would point out that Pliosaurs were the short-necked ones, not the long-necked ones. Right, I've annoyed myself now, sorry!
ReplyDeleteyes indeedy and only a really pedantic person would point out that thats actually the Salvage Craft as opposed to the nuclear freighter! Great fun though..
ReplyDeleteArtistic licence guys. Hope you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteMay I take this opportunity to point out that you are ALL missing the most important aspect of artistic licence taken here. Namely, Project SWORD don't send SpaceX anywhere! Nor do they own any SpaceX craft. We are an independent organisation who occasionally agree to co-operative ventures with SWORD (and have been known to bail them out of difficulties now and then). But as to being SENT anywhere by them .... pffft.
