Hi Paul,
With Fanderson just around the corner, I was feeling a little convention nostalgia. I'd been rummaging up in the loft and came across a couple old models I put together in the early 1980's, around the same time as the early Fanderson conventions. They were a bit dusty but all things considered I don't think they're too bad. I thought I take a few pics for the readers.
The WASP Spearhead Jet, kit-bashed from that old favorite, The Hustler, seemed to have stood the test of time and scrubbed up well.
The WASP Arrowhead Jet kit-bashed from a Freedom Fighter was one of those projects that never got completed. I suppose I might get round to it one day.
The Marineville Tower which I made for the model competition at Fanderson 82(I didn't win), was fairly knocked about and moldy. But, I think it still looked reasonable considering it's made predominantly of card and polyfiller.
Cheers

Wonderful, Mike, especially Marineville tower! Tell me, how large is the latter?

ReplyDeletewonderful stuff!
GREAT models!
ReplyDeleteBloody nice Marineville Tower. Is this the one I would remember from an early issue of SIG maybe? Great to know it is still around.

Great stuff. I remember kitbashing a Red Arrow together from an Airfix Saab Draken and Monogram(?) Hustler engines once.
ReplyDeleteThank for the comments guys. Yep it is the one on the back of s.I.g. It's pretty battered now. It's about 6" high and around 10" long.

6 by 10? Amazing how much bigger the photo makes it appear! Well done, Mike!
