 The Gruesome Twosome Superfast car was easily one of my absolute faves as a die-cast mad kid, so when I saw this bigger plastic version online I had to look twice!

Why is a red windscreen upright and what is that black bar sticking out?

These Space Attack ships look like fun. By Toy Island, they look as though they're related to Voice Commanders with those similar buttons for electronic sounds.

On The Buses Collectors DVD Bus

The On the Buses set contained 11 DVDs – and came in a special plastic case in the shape of a double decker bus, packed within a cardboard window box which showed off the contents.

 I remember seeing this in the shops, but thought it was a bit expensive.

The bus was large, and moulded in green plastic. According to the box top it had working lights, moving wheels (green hubs, with black tyres), a figure of driver Stan Butler (Reg Varney) in the cab, and the sets were individually numbered.

It was a model of the Bristol Lodekka bus used in the series. From the packaging, it appears the upper deck was hinged along one side, allowing access to the 11 DVDs within.

The bus carried the markings of the Luxton District bus company, which Stan worked for. The side panel had the series title On The Buses, along with caricatures of the regular cast members.

Windows and interior detail were printed on. Trim was black and cream.

I could not find any photos of the bus model itself, just of the boxed set. The only listings I found for this carry the name Beyond Home Entertainment, which is an Australian company.

So, was this set unique to the Australian and New Zealand Market – DVD Region 4 ? It was certainly available in NZ.

Japanese Miniature Project SWORD and the Zero-X

 Blog friend Terry H has kindly sent me these snaps he got from a Buyee auction. 

This is the Japanese miniature Zero-X premium by Glico candy. A beautiful little OX, much less detailed than the Morinaga miniature some of you may have, but I like it a lot.

Do you like it? 

Terry also spotted these.

A red Probe Force 1 and yellow Probe Force 3. The grey plane isn't Project SWORD.

Ive a few of these Japanese miniatures too. Gorgeous solid plastic and tiny.

I don't know the maker. Glico premiums tend to be snap-together. These are single solid pieces.

Anyone know?

I recently acquired a new display cabinet, which I've filled with my beloved SpaceX and a few other bits and bobs , so now they are off the shelf and behind glass! 

Had great fun filling it up!

 Century 21 special effects assistant and model make, Alan Shubrook is attending the UFO Location tour in May, along with John Levine, who played an Interceptor pilot in the UFO episode, 'Close Up'.

Mr Levine is best known to Doctor Who fans as  Sergeant Benson , a member of the 'U.N.I.T. family' during Jon Pertwee's tenure as the Doctor.
