Favourite Movie Puzzler

Hello Woodsy

When I think of my favourite war films I think of .................   One of the actors was a star of the very first episode of The Twilight Zone.

I loved the aesthetic of the Grumman F9F Panther and early US jet fighter powered by a Rolls Royce designed engine.

I suggest posting my image asking for someone to identify the movie.

This Spanish spacecraft M7X looks fabulous. It has that Proteus sort of design.

Made for Madelman, which I think is the same size as Little Big Man, I often wonder if Major Matt Mason would be at home in it too.

Would the Major fit?

Just found this Spanish TV clip of the toy. It does indeed have lights, rockets, a see-through body and a handle. It's like a pair of big fab major space binoculars!

Rock a Bye Baby Doll and Friends

Recently I saw a big doll on a stall. Clearly from the Sixties or Seventies, the unusual feature was the key at the back. It was musical and played a lullaby, whist gently rocking. 

Googling musical rocking dolls brought me to ... Baby Rock a Bye! And yep, I would say that's the doll I saw, 18 inches tall, like the Kenner ALIEN! 

Obviously a design that kept on rockin', Baby Rock a Bye morphed into or came from .... Jane and Jenny!

But then again, Lucy maybe the wellspring too.

I bet this doll in some form or other appeared in some Sixties or Seventies TV show like the Avengers.

Is it a doll you know readers?

The Unusual Suspects

 Here's my cache of small plastic figures from the 10p bin.

No idea what any of them are yet. You? 

He Shoots! He Scores!

 Having explored Settle's handful of charity shops I was pleased to find a few cheap plastic figures - to follow - and a very smart boxed Pro Action Football set from 1993 for a coupla quid. Just the football missing, I was pleased with this.

Like a sort of Subuteo on rollers, it's not something I had. Did you? In fact the only two football games I remember having were Casdon Soccer with Bobby Charlton on the box and Striker, with the plastic players that actually booted the ball.

Chipolino Automatic

 This caught my eye.

A large boxy toy rifle that reminded me of something else.

I was thinking of my Action Man machine gun.

Not that similar but interestingly the white toy rifle was used as a prop in a 1973 Soviet film called Chipolino.

The toy itself came in a simple Soviet box.

There appears to be a year stamped on the box side: 1969?

Is this a toy rifle or film you know?
