YOU'RE OUR ONLY HOPE
What a hoot! Star Wars Episode 4 auditions! Over an hour of nervous readings with youthful wannabees like Kurt Russell no less and less-well known actors like William Katt, who went on to star in the cult horror movie House in 1985. Cindy Williams was already known as Shirley in the hit TV show Happy Days and Robby Benson, who I personally don't know at all.
Did George pick the right actors?

My Older Bruder!
Dropping off lots of old clothes, we took the opportunity to have a wander round the Diakonie again, the large German charity store. Here's some snaps.
As expected, tons of Playmobil, the national toy.
MOON FLEET CAPTAIN BADGE
This badge caught my eye on Ebay so I saved a pic.
I used to eat Sky Rays and remember their Moon Fleet marketing.
Here's the Captain badge. I wonder of there were more?
Ding Dong!
The lid detaches from the bottle to become a lunar lander and the main (emptied) bottle becomes the command vehicle. Squeezing the bottle pops off the lander too.
The game is basically a turn based route to the moon, using counters and a die. Avon probably made loads of space-themed items, such as robot shaped bubble bath containers and I remember my sister being an Avon agent and looking at the catalogue every few months to see if there was anything good.Another space themed item, is this lovely art deco Spaceship, which was given to me some time ago by Paul V. I assume its an Avon piece given its designation 'AV-1', but there's no makers marks on it. My other obsession has always been totem poles, so spotting an Avon aftershave bottle, I had to grab it! This one came with the original box and held 'Wild Country' aftershave, which I can still smell!
The bottle is brown glass, with a tampo transfer on the outside and the lid is a nifty plastic Eagle figure.
ITS BOUND TO ESCALATE!
This caught my eye on an old auction, Space Flash with Escalator and Cars.
The box art is fabulous although I don't know the brand, a single stylized S.
The contents look good. I've seen sets like this before by different makers. The three cars look like little staplers!
