2023/24 Atlantis Kit Catalogue

Earlier in the year Atlantis have just released their new 2023/24 kit catalogue. It can either be viewed on-line, or a paper edition can be purchased.

This is filled with their aircraft, space, SF, and missile kits, cars, wild customs, figures, movie monsters, ships, and other models.

Most are re-issues of older Revell, Aurora, Monogram, Lindberg, and Pyro kits. Some of which have not been available for decades. So, if you missed out on the Pyro Wyatt Earp cowboy kit (last seen in the mid-1960s), you can pick one up now.

Its always fun to see a game you had as a kid having been enjoyed by kids in other lands.

Here's Waddington's Formula 1 as issued in Germany by Brohm, Nurburgring Formel 1 [apologies, can't find the umlaut on my keyboard!]

Formula 1 was actually my older Brother's game, along with others like the Battle of the Little Big Horn, Blast Off and Twister, but I saw them so often I associate them completely with my childhood.

I will have been busy dropping the ball down the chimney in my beloved Haunted House game!

A while back I found General Custer.

At least I thought so, pictured here in my trusty figure book, number 4.

But I was wrong. I didn't bother to check who 4 actually was.

K.I.T.T CONCEPT CAR BY HOT WHEELS

A Hot Wheels model which came out in 2022 was the HW K.I.T.T. Concept.

 According to the Hot Wheels Wiki entry for this model, it is a Hot Wheels design, updating the original KITT from the Knight Rider TV series. The result looks very like a Lamborghini.

Only the lower body is metal. From the windscreen aft, it is heavily tinted smoke-grey plastic. From the little that is visible through the smoked top, the interior is red plastic, as are the front and rear horizontal bars. The name K.I.T.T. appears in white on the left front nose. The base is black plastic, and the wheels have grey hubs.

The card has the Knight Rider name in the upper left hand corner, but the model is not in the Screen Time series of TV and movie cars, as you would expect. Instead, it is in the HW Exotics line, which usually includes very glamorous foreign sports cars.
