March 1969, the Spanish TV guide advertising El Capitan Escarlata on the cover. Another international hit programme, Captain Scarlet.
Did you see Captain Scarlet outside the UK?
I love old sci fi pulp covers. These old German ones are great. TERRA - Piraten in Weltraum.
There's lots of toy things I think of when I look at these covers. What do you see readers?
A couple more photos of our celestial neighbour, showing it early this morning.
What with the unpredictable weather, here in the UK , you have to seize the moment if you want to capture a photographic reminder of an astronomical spectacle.
I was really taken with the orange glow of the Sun reflecting off this morning's Moon. I grabbed my camera to take a snap, but the clouds were gathering, and within moments covered the orange orb.
Once the clouds had cleared, I took a couple more shots before the Moon sank below the trees. I thought these looked quite surreal, with the Moon focused behind the trees.
I love this box art for the Rosko Frankenstein Monster.
I had the Nomura Mod Monster as a kid.
The monster here reminds me of the old Frankenstein in the original Edison monster from his 1910 shirt film.
Did you or have you got a battery-operated Frankenstein?
As it was a clear frosty night yesterday evening, I took the opportunity to take a photo of the full Moon.
I took another wider shot showing Mars, which, although only looking like a star, is clearly visible to the naked eye at the moment, as it's directly opposite the Sun, known as an opposition.
