WHAT IS THE RUNNING TIME OF THE ZACK SNYDER CUT?

I'm confused and wonder of you can help readers.

I would like to get DC's Justice League The Zack Snyder cut as an online streamed movie as a Christmas  gift for me from my Missus. I need to send her a link so she can rent it for me!

However, there's different running times given for the Zack Snyder cut. Some say 4 hours and Amazon Prime's is 8 hours!

What is the actual length of the Justice League Zack Snyder cut? Anyone actually know?

Per Ardua Ad Clitheroe

It was a nice sunday drive for us today, up to a small and extremely well stocked garden centre in Clitheroe. Tucked away in a small village, Holden Clough is a network of old farm buildings, glasshouses and nursery gardens, which was hosting a an artisan market on the grounds too. Decked out for xmas with roaring log fires and lots of xmas cheer, it really got us in the mood for the festive season. My grandaughter was smitten with the lights, sounds and smells of xmas and although Santa himself wasn't there yet, she had a whale of a time.

On the way home, we stopped off at a farm shop just outside Salmesbury, which shared the location with other businesses, including a small antiques and collectables store. So while the others went off in search of something for dinner, I checked out the store. Literally one room with a mix of genuine antiques, vintage oddments and general junk, it is always worth a browse. This time, I found a Triang Gondola wagon for £3.50 and Ad Astra and Alien Covenant blu-rays for a pound each. I'm a big fan of the Alien franchise, so couldn't leave Covenant there. Ad Astra is a strange one, a little too much of a Brad Pitt showcase for me, but the visuals are stunning and Tommy Lee Jones gives Pitt an acting masterclass in his brief appearance.

I was about to leave to pay for these, when I spotted a small selection of old camera stuff on a low shelf, amongst which I was delighted to find a 1960's russian Jupiter 11 lens for just £9! I had been after one of these beauties for ages, as they tend to be silly money  on ebay, so I snapped it up quick! Its a large 135mm chrome silver beast, which attached to my mirrorless camera with a simple adaptor. Strictly manual focus, its the weapon of choice for portraiture and gives a lovely depth of colour.

So xmas definitely came early for me today, just need some clear weather to use it!

 

On the way past British Aerospace Salmesbury site, lightning strikes twice with a replica of the F-35 Lightning II and an original decommissioned English Electric Lightning jet. Beauty and grace, even when earthbound.

There was further mooching in a local town yesterday.

One charity shop had this bookcase full of old stuff including an interesting yellow plastic Easy Adder, which I'd never seen before.

The Fuzzy Felt Fairy Tales caught my eye too. There was always a Fuzzy Felt set on the go when I was a kid like the Farm or the Zoo.

 

Another shop was selling bundles of plastic figures, which I snapped up as I thought they looked interesting, mostly Fortnite and Roblox.

The large big Optimal Optimus at the back came home with us as did the Power Rangers robot.

The biggest purchase of the day were these large mint boxed Strike Force vehicles by Sunny Smile, the US Jeep and the Patrol Boat. For Action Man and similar 12 inch figures I was pleased with these and thought the £15 each reasonable for a Charity shop.

Reminiscent of the classic Cherilea vehicles I had as a kid for my Action Man, I bought and sold quite a few Sunny Smile vehicles like the truck and tank in the noughties but I've never got hold of them mint and boxed like these.

I Thought it Was Tai Hing!

A few years aback I posted this page of Tai Hing toys, some of which I have at Moonbase but also some of which we have never seen before or since on the blog.

One of those is the prone soldier lying down with his rifle. Its impossible to guess how big or in what form these soldiers are  - like Airfix or much bigger? - but this one on the Bay recently caught my eye.

I thought I was onto something but I don't think its the same toy. The model numbers are wrong and there's no sign of the Tai Hing logo.

Do you agree?

Ah well, at ease soldier.
