UTILITY BELT HELP NEEDED

Currently playing Batman and Robin with Junior. He's got a great imagination. Junior's got a belt string attachment gizmo out of our rubbish drawerand has attached it to his waistband.

This has got me thinking. has anyone made a Batman utility belt? With maybe a torch and a whistle and the like all in black?

Short of spending a fortune on the original IDEAL Batman utility belt from 1966 - which I would have to have for myself [evil laugh], have you any ideas readers?

                From Maxsmodels here is a short history of the Aurora Mr Spock kit, which was also released by AMT. The kit has a rather complicated history due to different companies having the Star Trek rights for different countries, plus AMT only being interested in the spaceship kits, while Aurora was best known for its many figure kits. The video shows various early design ideas, and the production version with the three-headed snake. The kit was later modified to depict Spock as he appeared in Star Trek: The Motion Picture, without the snake, and with a different uniform.

SUPER NEWS COPTER

I like this Japanese Super News Copter vintage toy I saw on auction. Despite being battered I love the box art so I saved the pics.

I have something similar called the Super Copter by old American firm Tarheel of Tarboro.

This toy can't decide if its a News Copter or a Police one.

The rotors are tipped with coloured lights.

The Japanese maker's mark is SH in a kite.

News crews don't often get a look-in when it comes to toys so this is a welcome entry for them.

I loved this old plastic American ambulance. It has such an ECTO-1 feel to it.

Speaking of ECTO-1 I found out from Moonbase Junior that he'd visited the real thing! It was stationed at a big Leeds shopping centre for just 48 hours and he made it!

THE LAST CAR BOOT CATCH OF THE YEAR

Today was the last day for our local Wednesday car boot this year so the Missus and I trundled along to see what we could pick up one last time.  Above is the haul. A few die-casts, two Batman books, a Captain America shield and buzzer, a large Batmobile and three Amish dolls boxed - all 3 for a pound!

The Cap shield and Batmobile and books are for Junior. We also got him a Ninja Turtles duvet and pillow cover. He's over here tomorrow so hopefully they'll be cowabunga good!

I got two battered Corgi Batmobiles for 50p and thought I'd introduce Junior to a proper Batmobile toy! If I had the skill I'd so one of them up!

Three of the die-casts were Superfast - or Extrafast as my Missus calls them - and below is a snap of them after some basic touching-up I did with paint pens and sharpie markers. I don't have these three so they'll go straight into my Superfast cabinet.
