TOMY SKIING CROC AND TOY BOAT

Moonbase Grandson has a new second-hand toy.

Its an old water-skiing crocodile by Tomy!

Its such a cool and chunky toy and typical of Tomy's passion for robust hard plastic vehicles.

Having googled it I was amazed to see it has a small cult following on You Tube! People have found one at flea markets and boot sales and wondering whether its gold or garbage!

Like the Universal series these measure 2.25" x 3.25" and judging by the various styles of composition they were photos supplied by the clubs rather than portraits taken exclusively for the cards. 

The club crests are stamps that you could send a PO to cover the cost of an album.

Bandai Unit 5 Radiation Tester; Tin Toy Perfection?

I love this Bandai tin toy and fortunately some people, unlike me, own one. Here's a clip of such a one on You Tube. I've only ever seen it online.

Just finished this little (5") replica of a maintenance drone from the movie Silent Running. 

Always loved the design but haven't got room for a full size one. So made this little chap from plasticard.

Just checking through my old basic mobile phone photo archive and I found this.

Its a quite atmospheric shot of my Project SWORD Hover Tank custom toy, kindly built by the mega-talented Kev D a few years back.

The Art of Youth

Did you draw stuff as a kid?

Maybe doodles of cars or sketches of spaceships?

I was always drawing something somewhere.

I still am.

Some of the best drawings and doodles I ever saw were in a book my older brothers had open for them and their mates during the late Sixties and early Seventies. 

It laid around in the boys' room along with Creepy, Eerie and MAD mags scattered about.

It contained perhaps the single most brilliant pen sketch I've ever seen. It was of a Roman Centurion's head by one of my brothers' mates called Kevin.
