SNOW TRAIN ORIGIN: THE LE TOURNEAU LCC 1?

In 1966 the greatly talented Eric Eden  gave us our first look at the Snow Train in the TV21 Summer Extra. This mega craft went on to feature in both the Project SWORD Annual and its own Make a Model book in 1968. Where, if anywhere, did Eric get inspiration for his amazing vehicle?

How about this readers? In 1954 the Texan heavy vehicle company Le Tourneau built the Snow Train or LCC 1 for the US Army. There are many variations of it and here are a few pictures I've seen on the web. What do you think?

Just finished refurbishing an old model of mine, the Cybermen's gun from 'The Five Doctors'. I've improved the detail on my old model and added better lighting.

Mystery Masudaya Explorer 12 Style Toy

This was in the Moonbase Mailbag this week. Bill responded at the time but what do you think?

I came across your "Moonbase Central" website while looking to ID this toy I found the other day, It comes close to resembling the Explorer 12 set but it does have differences. I can not find anything that matches this with the name Masudaya. Can you please offer any assistance on a name, era, and/or value or at least point me in the right direction.
