This is one of the more unusual Probe Force 3 variants in my collection - a Japanese SPACEBIRD P3 (originally blogged September 2008). I particularly like the box art and the overall colour scheme of silver and lime green - much more interesting than the original! Note the enduring P3 emblems on the rear fins, which would suggest that this is a Century 21 Project sword PF3 copy rather than its predecessor. It is clearly related to the similar 'SB' badged Probe Force 1 copy in the top pic - also blogged a while back (found by Terry Harle/WOTAN), which I believe is a model kit. This begs the question is there also a SB PF2 out there in Japan?
Chris King, who posted this piccy of his excellent mint carded Spacex I collection on the Space 1999 Eagle Transporter Forum, kindly gave his permission for them to appear here too. Anyone know of colour variations of any of these?
Here's another fab ANT from the WOTAN workshop - this time smaller in scale with the main body constructed from a Kinder egg. The wotanised box and larger ANT appeared earlier on the blog here.
It's interesting how these 2 related Cruisers differ in wing shape. I actually prefer the sleeker design of the Moon Traffic Cruiser 3. Is there a Cruiser 2 out there somewhere?
Couldn't help noticing a sort of similarity bewteen this yellow and red Ideal Turbo Jet car and the yellow Spacex Cruiser 1. Well they look a little bit bit like each other! Both on Ebay now.
I thought I'd collate together all 3 of the TV21 pics I've recieved from bloggers (actually only two diffrerent pics) of the fabulous origin of the Nuclear Freighter (the small red cigar-shaped ship) and the Salvage Craft (GK10). The top pic includes a shot of the Spacex II toy illustrated on the Tri-ang Pippin backing card. Two questions remain: are there any more illustrations anywhere and more importantly has anyone ever seen the Spacex toy?
Thanks to WOTAN (see earlier posts on this), Paul Vreede, Mike Burrows (see earlier posts) and Project 21 for the above pictures.
