Started a couple of weeks ago here. I'm okay with it though - if I do happen to be watching TV, I mute the sound when the commercials come on and check in with social media. I don't hear, see, or pay attention to the squawk box until my program comes back on.
I wouldn't mind Ed, all the toy ads are now on kids channels here in the UK and not on 'normal' channels as far as I can tell. I could cope with Christmas toy ads but all I see is Christmas food ads and I'm on a diet!
Yes, even Sainsbury started it xmas tv ads on 1st November. Until a couple of years ago, they didnt run their ads until after November 11. Xmas stuff has been in the shops sice the beginning of Setember (I think some even started displaying in August. Likewise, the 'black friday' deals now start November 1 and last the whole month, rayher than just the single day (I think its supposed to be 29 November this year). Gotta get those pennies out of peoples pockets... (Dont forget Easter eggs will be in store on 26 December...)

ha ha, yep, Christmas may as well start in November now and last till the end of January!
DeleteChristmas things are appearing in the shops here in October - so you have Halloween and Christmas goodies side by side. Which is a bit jarring.
