Hello Paul,
Back during lock down it was surprising to find I had a substantial money box collection without being aware of it happening. The only conscious purchase was of the British traditional red Post Box/Pillar Box.
The mailing slot in miniature being the perfect coin slot.
Having just returned from a trip that ended with a few days in London I was disappointed not to find a Charles III version. Not surprising in that there probably there will never be a Pillar Box with his cypher as people don't use the mail as much as they used to. Somewhere are probably tons of Elizabeth II waiting to be placed on street corners.
What I did find was a year old Coronation tin money box. I did purchase it for the charming label on the bottom.
The traditional way to rob one of the tin boxes was a knife blade through the slot to balance a coin.
This one has a better solution!
