After several years of searching, I have now managed to obtain a Pelham Puppet of the Trug.
These aliens from Bleep and Booster are odd ones. As long as they wear their pointy hats, they're OK, but if the hat is removed they become out if control chaos causers!
This one is the hardest of the 4 to find and now completes my set. I realise that it was only me that was after a complete set mind you.
Hats off to me!

Nice find, nice collection Kevin, I've handled a few Pellham's over the years; obviously 'not my thing', but they are a cut-above most, quality wise, and I have the book somewhere!

Thanks. Yep, I'm not a big fan of Pelham Puppets but for some reason I decided to collect Bleep and Booster stuff because someone should and sadly, it has fallen to me!
ReplyDeleteYay! A full house!
ReplyDeleteI had a Bleep puppet as a kid, but he was all on his own! I did like his rolling wooden ball third eye, slopping around in his transparent head!
Yep, I like the Bleep one. Booster is a little creepy looking.
ReplyDeleteHat's off... a very rare find, Kevin. Really pleased for you completing the set!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I think 1 jigsaw and a kite and that'll be it for all the Bleep and Booster items that I am aware exist!
ReplyDeleteYou've got the cast. We know you can build the sets Kevin.
ReplyDeleteWhy not do a show ?!
Ha! The colour, fully animated Bleep and Booster that never was! The next sensation!
ReplyDeleteWhy not !?
ReplyDeleteNot familiar with the franchise, but those are glorious marionettes!
ReplyDeleteTheyre in remarkably good condition for there age and rarity. Isnt there a cartoon story in Blue Peter annuals too? Bill
ReplyDeleteI had to restring the Trug and fix a broken arm, but yep, apart from that they aren't bad. Yes there was a story in the Blue Peter annual each year for a very long time. There were also 3 Bleep and Booster annuals and two story books.
