I've written about these before but I'm always amazed when they turn up on Ebay, the Greek Leizer 200 made by Alpha.
Its clearly a Greek knockoff of the much more famous Johnny Seven by Topper, but still its got some style of its own.
The red pistol at the front detaches too.
It would look the part in a Johnny Seven toy collection or even a Fireball XL5 toy rifle collection!
What do you think?
Lovely-how many toy rifles had triggers on foregrips as well? The slide out pistol here is a bit generic-a Luger-Nambu has a better spy vibe.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the red pistol looks more like a space gun than a spy one. The red is out of synch with the rest of the toy as well. Having said that this toy rifle may indeed be a space gun. The graphics on it show a USS Enterprise sort of spaceship along with Saturn and its ring.
DeleteAccording to Google, the name of the gun Leizer 200 translates to Laser 200 in English, so my bet would be on a space gun.
ReplyDeleteInteresting Paul. Its a toy with an interesting design lineage going back to the Fireball XL5 toy rifle.
