Corgi Toys have released a video showing their 2023 line up, including what looks like a very tidy looking prototype die-cast Stingray model, complete with firing sting missiles!
It looks to be smaller than the Product Enterprise version, but larger than the Matchbox one. The example in the video isn't painted, but still looks pretty good to me.
The Corgi You Tube video. The part on Stingray is around 12 minutes in.
Nice. Probably the prettiest of all the Andersonverse vehicles. Will definitely be getting this. Looks about 5 inches long. The nose is rather blunt though. There were several models of Stingray used in the show and IMHO the most beautiful one has a sleeker nose. Not sure if Corgi have used photos from a different model or had to change it to incorporate the missile firing mechanism. Anyhow, it's much better than their Thunderbirds diecasts from a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteOh yes. It does look a little stubby-nosed nosed doesnt it? Still gonna buy a few tho. Love Stingray.
DeleteI 'll certainly get one, and happy to support a brand new model of Stingray, plus I don't imagine the price will break the bank!
ReplyDeleteGood to see any new Stingray models to be fair. But yes,too stubby and again producers sadly continue to use the Phil Rae blueprint (as does the Product Enterprise model etc) as the basis for their models, which is not based on a particular screen used model.
