Morning play at Junior's place. Mars Mission is go! This Playmobil space station so reminds me of playing with Major Matt Mason back in the day.
The helmets look the same as the Major's and there's little space tools! The sleeping module reminds me of the SpaceX moon HQ. Did you have a toy space station?
There's something else in here with us Ripley!
Duck Rogers!
I'm still collating!
Time for bed!
I most certainly did! I had this: https://www.bagatellebooks.com/pages/books/4326/space-station-for-a-fine-young-astronaut , which came as a book that opened up into a 4 compartment space station that was perfect for my MPC astronauts.
ReplyDeleteThe link states that this is from the 70's, but I distinctly remember playing with mine shortly prior to the birth of my brother, and that was in 1967.
What a wonderful book and such a neat idea Captain, I can see why it was perfect for spacemen. Great memory and thanks for sharing.
DeleteIt looks like its mid sixties at the least, Steve. What a cool book. Reminds me of the first Palitoy Star Wars Death Star playset!
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean about Star Wars, that four walled circular card thingy.
DeletePlayMobil toys are so good. Such attention to detail and amazingly well built. I'd love that space station and the rocket set! Just can't justify it now as an adult! Bill
ReplyDeleteI would like to get Junior the old Playmobil hexagonal space station or spaceship [not sure what it is] when I'm next at a German car boot sale, where they usually have a few.
