A kid said to me t'other day that when the meteor took out the dinosaurs it didn't take out those underwater. They survived.
He went on to say that for this reason it's clear that monsters like Megalodon are still kicking around in the depths of the Mariana Trench. Nessie was hinted at too!
It always amazes me what kids believe.
What do you think?
Any unknown, large animal is likely to be in the deep ocean. Megoladon would struggle now as its prey has gone. Dinosaurs were air breathers and would still need to surface. After the big rock struck, it was an unpleasant place to be. It seems that most survivors of the impact were small, perhaps they could have hidden underground?
ReplyDeleteThe meek inherited the Earth then Kev! My money's on Woodlice and tardigrades!
DeleteWell, I sure wanted to believe in Live Dinosaurs when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteSome kids want a light sabre.
Some kids want super-powers.
Some kids want a laser-blaster.
Some kids want a T-Rex as a pet.
Is that a song Scott?
