Back in the 70s when I was a teenager living in Australia, my dad the photographer, went on a European photo tour and I accompanied him a film opener/assistant! I have vivid memories of Colgne, especially that amazing cathedral with it's fretwork spires. I was also amused that one of the German airports had a popular shop that had its name on a plate on the front of every hire luggage trolley in the place! Whether little old lady or Vicar, if you hired a trolley you were pushing around an advertisement for "Doctor Mueller's Sex Shop"!
Some super angles, geometrics and detailed architectural captures there! I've never been to Cologne, but its one of those places I'd like to visit one day perhaps. Thoroughly enjoyed your European travelogue and keen-eyed photography, Woodsy.

ReplyDeleteWent to Prague for my 40th birthday and Venice for my wife's 40th.
Both fantastic cities in different ways.
They sound fab Mish. Would love to visit Prague. Went to Venice when I was a teenager with Skoo. I should return as an adult.
