New Jersey Monster Garden
Hi Woodsy.Spring has Sprung here in New Jersey and I'm doing my part to make things bright and cheerful.
I noticed the decorations in the back yard flower bed were looking pretty haggard, and I was thinking of throwing them away.
Lightyear - To Infinity and Most Toyshops
I picked up tow of the five or so available spaceships on Ebay, with another two on Amazon pre-order for May delivery. They are very nice models indeed, a little simplistic compared to similar toys such as the Galoob Star Wars Action Fleet series, or the aforementioned Mattel Battlestar Galactica models, but have good detailing and are a nice small size (about 6") making them easy to display.
Neither of these two have any action features, apart from opening landing gear and canopy, but the deluxe set of two ships comes with an attachable firing cannon, which will level the playing field with Zurgs Fighter, which does have firing missiles.
The ship designs have an air of Gundam about them, but also classic spaceship lines and a nice X prefix to the names. The little pilot figures are detailed and have moveable arms and legs, but are almost impossible to pose!
I look forward to getting more from the line and just hope it doesn't become hampered by limited editions or store exclusive models, like Hot Wheels.

A BRIEF LOOK AT THE NETWORK SUPER DELUXE STINGRAY BLU-RAY
I got my Super- Deluxe Stingray Blu-Ray set delivered this week, and to be honest I haven't got round to closely examining all the extras yet - and gee, there are lots of extras!
I've only managed to watch one of the discs in full so far. The picture quality is superb, thanks to the team at Network. There are more even extras on on of the discs, including the continuation of the Sylvia Anderson interview , 'In Her Own Words'. Part 1 can be seen on the Network Fireball XL5 Blu-ray set.
The Super- Deluxe set, which has now sold out, comes in it's own display box, with the 'standard' Deluxe set box inside. The extra space is for the additional Super-Deluxe extras.
Here's just a sample of the goodies in store.
The set comes with lots of additional ephemera: My particular favourites are the facsimiles of the press books.
There's also a very attractive book on vintage Stingray merchandise.
A uniquely packages blue vinyl record.
A in-depth episode guide by Andrew Pixley.
Art prints signed by personally Graham Bleathman & Steve Kyte.
A WASP badge and Aquanaut I.D. card.
The Stingray 'scrapbook': A wallet containing more facsimiles and brand new material.
I'll resist the temptation to say, 'Stand by for action!' but this is a must for any Stingray fan!
